Earlier last month, Ducati had announced that a limited number of lucky fans would get a chance to feast their eyes on the company’s newest motorcycle, the Scrambler, at the 2014 World Ducati Week. Though mobile devices weren’t allowed in the room at the Misano circuit where the motorcycle was kept, one of these fans managed to click a snap shot of the Scrambler, which has now been put up on a Facebook fan page.
While the employees of the Italian manufacturer were already acquainted with the motorcycle at the factory in Bologna, Italy, this was the first time the motorcycle was displayed for the public. The motorcycle carried the same yellow livery that has been seen in the spy pictures of the Scrambler’s test mules.
The Scrambler is rumoured to be powered by the company’s 696cc V-Twin engine which is used in the Monster 696. The engine produces 80.5bhp and 69Nm of torque in the Monster 696, though it might be tuned to suit the Scrambler’s character.
The Ducati Scrambler will be globally unveiled at the 2014 InterMot international motorcycle show in Cologne, this October and will go on sale in the European market by early 2015.
