- Spotted testing again in production-ready form
- Features the same exhaust setup as the Himalayan 450
- Rides on alloy wheels and dual-purpose tyres
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has been spotted testing again and this time the spy shots reveal the side profile of the bike. The images give a close look at the RE Guerrilla 450’s design, mechanicals, features, and even the hardware.
In typical Royal Enfield fashion, the Roadster 450 too will get an old-school design with a round headlight, probably LED, a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, and a single-piece seat. Similar to the Himalayan 450, the Roadster will also get an integrated setup for the rear brake light and the rear turn indicators. The stubby up-swept exhaust on the Roadster appears identical to the Himalayan 450’s unit.
Powering the upcoming Royal Enfield Roadster 450 will be the same Sherpa 450 engine that we see in the new Himalayan. It is a 452cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine and makes 39.47bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm at 5,500rpm. The motor benefits from a slipper clutch as well.
We expect the fully digital single-pod instrument cluster from the Himalayan 450 to be shared as it is with the Roadster 450. From our experience with the ADV, it looks neat and packs abundant data alongside smartphone connectivity with navigation, and more.
The spy images reveal gaitered telescopic front forks and a monoshock on the Roadster 450. Its braking hardware includes a single front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on alloy wheels that seem to be 17 inches in size and wrapped in dual-purpose tyres.
Royal Enfield could launch the Roadster 450 in the next few months and once launched, it will rival the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, and the Yezdi Roadster.
