Suzuki has finally launched the new Access 125 at Rs 53,887 (ex-showroom Delhi). First unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, Suzuki has given a major makeover to this scooter over the old Access 125.
The major change seen on the new Access 125 is the overall design styling. The scooter now gets a modern retro styling with a large chrome-rimmed headlamp. The fascia also gets long turn indicators along with the brand’s logo. The scooter also gets a new instrument cluster which looks pretty good.
The new Suzuki Access 125 is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that churns out 8.7bhp at 7000rpm and 10Nm of torque at 5000rpm through a CVT transmission. This engine comes armed with the Japanese manufacturer’s proprietary Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology to improve efficiency. The company now claims an ARAI fuel efficiency of 64kmpl for the new scooter.
Suzuki is offering the new Access 125 in two versions - drum version with steel wheels and a disc brake version with alloy wheels. While the former version was launched today, the Japanese manufacturer will launch the disc brake with alloy wheels version in the next few weeks. The new Suzuki Access is available in five colours – candy antares red, glass sparkle black, metallic sonic silver, pearl mirage white and metallic matte grey.
