Suzuki has introduced the new GSX-S1000 special Web Edition in the Italian market. The Japanese manufacturer is going to roll out only five numbered units of the same. The bookings have commenced online, and the customers have to pay a token amount of Euro 500 for the same.
The new Web Edition is equipped with a few additional accessories like a single seat cover, instrument cover, numbered plate and carbon fender on both ends. The bike also gets a few standard features like an electronic control package called Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), three drive modes, a five-level traction control system and a quick shifter as well. Powering the naked roadster is a four-cylinder, liquid-cooled 999cc Euro5 engine that churns out 150.2bhp at 11,000rpm and 106Nm at 9,250rpm.
This special Web Edition is priced at Euro 13,800, which converts to Rs 12.27 lakh. The company has already introduced the litre-class naked bike internationally, and we expect it to arrive soon in India as well. The company has not disclosed the launch timeline yet. However, upon its arrival in the Indian market, it will compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Z900 and the BMW F900R.
