Suzuki recently launched the 2020 Swish 125 in Taiwan. The scooter was first introduced back in 2017 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Coincidentally, the Swish 125 which was specifically developed for India was discontinued the same year due to lack of sales. With the presence of the popular Access 125 and Burgman Street 125, the Swish 125 is unlikely to make its way to India, although it sure is an enticingly sporty product from Suzuki. Here, we bring to you details of the scooter through this image gallery.
In terms of design, the Swish 125 gets sharp and edgy lines all over its bodywork. The front end houses a full-LED headlamp flanked by LED DRLs and turn signals.
The rear end, on the other hand, continues with the sharp styling and gets a sporty-looking grabrail and an LED tail lamp design reminiscent of the 2016 GSX-R1000.
For 2020, Suzuki has adorned the Swish 125 with three new dual-tone colours that feature sporty graphics. There is a White/Grey option, a Matte Black with Red option, and a White/Blue paint scheme that is inspired by Suzuki’s MotoGP livery.
The Suzuki Swish 125 is equipped with an orange-backlit, fully-digital instrument cluster. The scooter also gets a USB charging socket in the front apron and boasts of dual throttle cables meant to improve throttle response.
Powering the scooter is a 124cc, air-cooled engine that produces 9.3bhp at 7,000rpm and 10Nm at 6,000rpm. In comparison, the Suzuki Access 125 that is available in India churns out 8.6bhp and 10Nm from its 124cc engine.
As for cycle parts, the 2020 Suzuki Swish uses telescopic forks up front and twin three-step adjustable shocks at the rear. While braking is done by a disc-drum setup, the scooter rides on 10-inch wheels wrapped in chunky 100 section tyres at both ends.
