- New Daytona spotted test
- Will be powered by new 765cc engine
- Likely to be launched next year
Triumph Motorcycles has been secretly working on the next generation Daytona. Recently, one of the prototypes was spied testing.
It looks like the British bike maker is building a street version around their new Moto 2 765cc in-line triple engine. This engine can produce upto 135bhp of power, and can be tuned to deliver more. And even with this figure, the engine meets the stringent Euro 5 emission norms.
From the image, it’s clear that the prototype carries most of the design elements from the discontinued model. The next generation is likely to receive new bodywork, better aerodynamics and modern technologies. The company has been equipping its motorcycles with some outstanding features, so we can expect the Daytona to be a fully loaded bike.
We can expect Triumph to showcase at least the concept or the prototype of the Daytona 765 at the 2019 EICMA Show. This supersport bike is likely to hit the production line sometime next year.
