- Is limited to just 1000 units
- Gets cosmetic tweaks that pay homage to Steve McQueen
- Is expected to be launched in India later this year
Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the new Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition for global markets.
Based on the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE, the Steve McQueen Edition gets a few cosmetic enhancements to pay homage to the Triumph TR6 ridden by Steve McQueen in the classic Second World War movie- ‘The Great Escape’. To begin with, the most special element of the motorcycle is its limited production. Triumph will produce just 1000 units of the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition to be sold worldwide with a few units to be available in India as well.
Each bike is individually number on the billet aluminum handlebar that also has Steve McQueen’s signature laser etched onto it. What makes it more special is the Competition Green colour on the tank with hand-painted gold lining and retro Triumph logos, dedicated McQueen tank graphic, a brushed aluminum Monza cap and stainless steel tank strap. The motorcycle will also come with a high front fender as standard. It also gets an engine guard as well as an aluminum radiator guard.
Moreover, Triumph has also fitted the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition with a brown seat and is offering the motorcycle with My Connectivity feature as standard. Besides this, the special edition motorcycle remains the same as the 2021 Scrambler 1200 XE. It comes with the same 1200cc, parallel-twin motor and an extensive list of features like cruise control, cornering ABS, traction control as well as six riding modes.
