Triumph has also launched the updated Speed 400 in India today. Priced at Rs 2.4 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Speed 400 is almost Rs 15,000 more expensive than the outgoing model.
For this New Year, the company has given the Speed 400 new colours and also some small upgrades to improve the overall riding experience. For starters, the new Speed 400 is available in four colours – Racing Yellow, Phantom Black, Pearl Metallic White and Racing Red.
The new Speed 400 gets a thicker foam on the seat to improve long-distance riding. It also gets high-profile radial tyres from Vredestein. The bike also gets adjustable brake and clutch levers.
In terms of performance, the bike continues to be powered by the same 399cc, liquid-cooled motor that makes 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 39Nm at 6,500rpm. The single-cylinder motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle comes loaded with features such as ride-by-wire throttle, full-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The bookings for the new Speed 400 have already begun on its official website and the deliveries will begin in a few weeks.
