Triumph India has launched the new Speed T4 at Rs 2.17 lakh. This is the most affordable Triumph bike one can buy in India.
The Speed T4 will be available in India in three colours – white, red and black. The company is treating this model as a successor to the Speed 400. Aesthetically, this bike gets only new colour schemes and most of the cycle parts have been borrowed from the Speed 400.
Triumph has not made any changes to the chassis. But the bike now gets the conventional telescopic forks upfront instead of upside-down forks. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels that are shod with non radial tyres.
The bike is powered by a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor but makes lesser power at 30.6bhp at 7000rpm and 36Nm at 5000rpm. The company claims that 85 per cent of the torque is available at 2500rpm. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
In terms of features, the bike gets an all-LED display, analogue-digital display with Bluetooth connectivity.
Triumph has already started taking bookings of the Speed T4 on its official website. The deliveries are expected to begin in a few days.
