-Updated Speed Triple on the horizon
-Powered by an inline-triple engine
The updated Triumph Speed Triple 1200 has been teased on social media channels, indicating its imminent unveiling. The new Speed Triple 1200 has been in the works for some time now and Triumph is expected to improve upon the outgoing bike.
The design of the bike should be largely similar to the outgoing motorcycle. From the bug eyed headlight, to the chunky fuel tank and the slim tail section, the bike should be easily identifiable as a Triumph Speed Triple 1200. That said, Triumph should introduce new colours and graphics.
Under the bodywork, the chassis should largely be the same. However, the top-spec bike will come with electronically adjustable suspension. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with the rear wheel attached to a single sided swingarm.
The current bike is powered by a 1160cc, liquid-cooled, inline-triple engine that produces 177.5bhp at 10,750rpm and 125mm at 9,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Lastly, the Speed Triple 1200 will have a plethora of electronics that includes traction control, cornering ABS, ride modes and more.
The new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is expected to be unveiled in a few days.
