- 2020 Street Triple RS launch in January next year
- Gets power upgrade
- Front design has been revised
Triumph Motorcycles will launch the new Street Triple RS in India in January 2020. This new motorcycle was unveiled just a few days ago.
The major aesthetic change that the British maker has given the new Street Triple RS in at the front. The headlamp cluster has also been redesigned to look a bit aggressive. It now sports integrated LED strips that enhances the overall appeal. The tail section has been revised too and now looks a bit shorter.
The 2020 Street Triple RS uses the same 765cc inline-three cylinder motor but now makes more power. This engine now produces 9 per cent more power at 121bhp and 79Nm of peak torque. Most of the other cycle parts like the 41mm Showa front forks, Brembo M50 calipers have been carried forward from the older RS. The British maker has updated the TFT screen. It now gets Bluetooth connectivity and gets GoPro integration option as well. This system can be connected to the MyTriumph app and tonnes of ride data can be seen and used.
The new Street Triple RS will give a tight competition to the recently launched KTM 790 Duke, which is known for its latest electronics. The 2020 Street Triple RS is likely to get a marginal hike. But there’s a bleak chance that the Indian arm of the British maker could keep the price same if not reduce it. And if that happens, we believe this Triumph will enjoy some really good sales.
