- New Street Triple RS launched at Rs 11.13 lakh
- Didn’t get any price increase
- Gets aesthetic, mechanical updates
Triumph Motorcycles has launched the new Street Triple RS in India. This bike has been priced at Rs 11.13 lakh(ex-showroom Delhi), which is the same price at which the outgoing model was sold at.
For the 2020 variant, the British-brand has given the bike a hose of additions and upgrades. Cosmetically, the 2020 Street Triple RS looks much better than the outgoing model, thanks to the changes made to the front fascia which has been revised to look more aggressive. The twin-headlamp design is now sleeker. Subtle changes have been made on the tail section, belly pan and fuel tank.
The new Street Triple RS continues to be powered by a 765cc, in-line three cylinder engine which produces 121bhp at 11,750rpm and 78.6Nm of torque. Triumph has tweaked the engine for more refinement and better mid-range performance. The engine continues to be mated to a six-speed gearbox but it has been updated with a quick shifter now. It also comes equipped with a new Bluetooth-enabled TFT instrument cluster, four riding modes and traction control.
The Street Triple RS is equipped with a few other top-spec equipment. Things like fully adjustable USD from Showa and monoshock from Ohlins can be seen on this bike. The bike continues to get Brembo braking system along with Supercorsa SP V3 tyres.
The bookings for the new Street Triple RS will begin post lockdown, and the deliveries are expected to begin in a few weeks. Just like the older version, this one as well will be assembled at the company's Haryana facility.
