- New Triumph Tiger 1200 to feature a leaner design
- Unveiling details unavailable yet
- Indian launch may happen next year
Triumph Motorcycles has released new footage and photographs of the upcoming Tiger 1200 ahead of its global debut. The unveiling details are unavailable yet, although the updated Tiger 1200 should make its global debut soon after the new Triumph Tiger 660. The entry-level Triumph model is scheduled to debut on 5 October, 2021.
Previously, the company showcased the off-roading capabilities of the new Tiger 1200. The new images and footage showcase the on-road characteristics of the upcoming adventure-tourer. The British two-wheeler maker claims that the upcoming Tiger 1200 has been designed to be compact, agile, and manoeuvrable.
The styling cues on the upcoming Triumph Tiger 1200 will comprise a lean design, twin-pod headlight, semi-fairing, tall windscreen, split-style saddle, tall-set exhaust, and tubeless-tyre compatible cross-spoke wheels. Triumph Motorcycles has remained tight-lipped about the feature list yet. We expect the feature list to be at par with its rivals such as the BMW R 1250 GS and the Ducati Multistrada V4. Thus, the new Triumph Tiger 1200 should pack equipment such as full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display.
The electronic rider aids should work along with an inertia measurement unit and bring cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control system to the motorcycle. Other features may include heated grips, heated seats, and a cruise control system.
The new model should reach the Indian market soon after its global launch.
