- New Tiger 1200 gets revised engine tuning
- Overall comfort has improved
- India launch in a few weeks
Triumph has taken the wraps off the 2024 edition of its biggest adventure bike – the Tiger 1200. For this New Year, the British brand has decided to improve the engine and the comfort aspects of the motorcycle.
Triumph has reworked the 1200cc inline-triple cylinder engine to churn out lesser vibrations and also offer better low-speed rides. This has been achieved by increasing engine inertia which results in reducing the overall vibrations. The clutch design is also new, along with the clutch lever. The lever has been extended for easier use, especially in off-road conditions.
Regarding the comfort size, the seat on the Tiger 1200 is now comparatively flatter so that the rider can have more space to move around. The Active preload reduction feature is now standard with the motorcycle. To use this, the rider has to press the home button for one second. With that click, the seat height will drop by 20mm when the bike slows down for a stop.
The pricing of the new Tiger 1200 has been marginally increased for the UK markets. The bike is likely to come to India in the next few weeks, and the prices will be higher than the current model.
