Triumph Motorcycles will finally unveil their latest creation, the Tiger 900 today. Till now, the company has showcased some bit of its new range that will consist of two bikes – Tiger 900 Rally and Tiger 900 GT.
We have seen some prototype pictures along with the teasers and managed to decode some aspects of the motorcycle. The new Tiger gets a new LED headlamp setup with a unique DRL design. The windscreen has got taller and there’s a luggage rack at the rear. In terms of styling, the new Tiger has gone sleeker, especially at the front.
It also gets a redesigned frame and longer-travel suspension sourced from Showa instead of WP. The Tiger 900 is likely to come powered by an 887cc, inline-three cylinder engine that churns out over 100bhp. Going by the previous spy images we also know that the bike will sport an updated full-colour TFT screen along with a refreshed electronics suite. Furthermore, the video also reveals that the Tiger 900 range will consist of an off-road focused Tiger 900 Rally version and long-distance touring Tiger 900 GT variant.
The new Tiger 900s will come to Indian shores early next year. It will go against the Honda Africa Twin, the BMW F850GS and the Ducati Multistrada 950. In terms of pricing, the Tiger 900 Rally is likely to be priced the lowest. The Tiger 900 GT with be positioned as the premium variant in the range.
