- New TVS 125cc scooter launch tomorrow
- Likely to get 124cc motor from Ntorq
- Could be called Jupiter 125
TVS Motors seems to have a list of new products on the way. After launching the impressive Raider 125 last month, the Chennai-based company is scheduled to launch a new offering tomorrow, 7 October. And it is likely to be a 125cc scooter.
The new scooter could be called the Jupiter 125 and focus on being a family-centric offering since TVS already has the sport Ntorq 125. This would mean that the new scooter would take on the Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125 as well as the Yamaha Fascino. However, it is likely to use a slightly revised version of the Ntorq 125’s 124cc engine.
As for styling, we can expect it to stick to the silhouette of the Jupiter 110, although featuring some elements to make it look premium. And as our sources had revealed earlier, the Jupiter 125 could boast of some first-in-class features and a large underseat storage, thanks to the placement of the fuel tank under the floorboard.
We expect the new Jupiter 125 to cost around Rs 75,000 to put it on par with its rivals in the country. Bookings and deliveries are expected to commence soon after the launch.
