TVS Motor Company has launched the 2021 Apache RR 310 in the Indian market at an ex-showroom (Delhi) price tag of Rs 2,59,990. The latest iteration of the motorcycle gets several standard and optional upgrades over the 2020 model. The design and the engine specifications, on the other hand, remain unaltered.
Thus, the 2021 Apache RR 310 continues to use a twin-pod headlight, a full-fairing design, a step-up saddle, and a side-slung exhaust. The feature list, similar to the 2020 model, includes full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display, ride-by-wire throttle, four riding modes, and dual-channel ABS.
The 2021 model, however, benefits from a wave bite key that is claimed to deliver enhanced security and double-up as an in-hand adjuster for damping adjustments. The new version also gets revisions to the colour-TFT display that now packs an engine rev limit indicator, a day trip meter, an overspeed indicator, and stores/displays digital documents. To achieve a higher lean angle, TVS Motor Company has added a new race muffler. This unit is also claimed to deliver a racier exhaust note. Buyers can also opt for race replica graphics, coloured alloy wheels, and a personalised race number on the visor. Check out the price list below:
Dynamic Kit: Rs 12,000
Race Kit: Rs 5,000
Race Replica Graphics: Rs 4,500
Red Alloy Wheels: Rs 1,500
The two optional kits – Dynamic and Race – bring new features to the motorcycle. The Dynamic kit, for example, includes fully adjustable suspension on both ends and an anti-rust brass coated drive chain. The Race kit revises the ergonomics through a race ergo handlebar, raised foot-rests, and knurled footpegs.
Similar to the design, the mechanical specifications remain unaltered, and the 2021 Apache RR 310 continues to use a 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces 33.5bhp of power at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. The updated and feature-packed Apache RR 310 will rival the new KTM RC 390 in the Indian market. The updated RC series from KTM will debut in September 2021, although its Indian launch details are unavailable yet.
