- BS6 TVS Apache RR 310 to be launched tomorrow, 30 January
- Will get a new full-colour TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity
- Likely to get around Rs 15,000-20,000 more expensive over the BS4 model
TVS Motor Company is all set to launch the new model of its flagship offering, the Apache RR 310, in India tomorrow, 30 January. The motorcycle will be updated in terms of engine and features while a new colour option will also be on offer.
The new Apache RR 310 was spied a couple of weeks back and the images revealed that it will get an all-new full-colour TFT instrument cluster, in place of the existing LCD display. This console will feature TVS’ SmartXonnect function which allows it to be connected with smartphone via Bluetooth for accessing navigation, call and message notifications along with other data. It will also get an updated switchgear with toggle switches to shift through various menus of the display.
Another major change will be in the engine which will now be BS6-compliant. While its 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor currently produces 33bhp and 27.3Nm, the BS6 motor might boast of slightly different power figures. Meanwhile, the set of hardware is likely to remain unchanged. Damping duties are handled by USD forks and monoshock while braking is taken care of by disc brake at both ends. Aesthetically, the RR 310 will retain the same overall styling but a new dual-tone colour scheme with black and grey shade will be introduced.
The outgoing BS4 TVS Apache RR 310 retails at Rs 2.25 lakhs (ex-showroom) which is likely to go up by around Rs 15,000-20,000 with all the aforementioned updates. The motorcycle competes against the KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
