TVS recently launched the updated Apache RTR 160 4V in India. It gets a few changes that differentiate it from the previous model. We list down all of those differences here and tell you what’s new on the motorcycle.
New headlamp
While the styling on the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has remained the same, TVS has taken the opportunity to update the design of the headlamp. The previous-gen model came with a full-LED headlamp and so does the new one. However, the claw-like LED DRLs that featured over the headlamp has been replaced by a single unit integrated into the setup. This changes the look of the Apache RTR 160 4V from the front, setting it apart from its bigger sibling, for now.
New colour
Besides the new headlamp, TVS Motor Company has also added a new colour called Knight Black to the Apache RTR 160 4V’s pallette. Unlike the other single-tone options of red and blue, the new colour combines black with red. While the bodywork has been finished in matte black, the wheels and part of the seat are red.
Riding modes
TVS has been on a roll, equipping even the Ntorq 125 scooter with riding modes. While the RR 310 and RTR 200 4V already feature these, the Apache RTR 160 4V has now received the Urban, Sport and Rain ride modes that alter power output and throttle response.
Bluetooth connectivity
The updated RTR 160 4V has been equipped with TVS’ SmartXonnect Technology which essentially is a Bluetooth-enabled system that lets the rider connect the motorcycle to an app for detailed information.
Pricing
TVS is offering the updated Apache RTR 160 4V in four variants. The base variant with a front disc and rear drum costs Rs 1.15 lakh whereas, the top-of-the-line Special Edition is priced at Rs 1.21 lakh and comes with disc brakes at both ends, Bluetooth connectivity, and a radial rear tyre as standard.
