TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of the new and feature-packed Apache RTR 200 4V. The latest iteration of the Apache RTR 200 4V comes with several first-in-segment features, and here we list the top five highlights of the motorcycle.
Design
The styling cues remain unaltered, and the new Apache RTR 200 4V continues to feature a roadster design that comprises of a muscular fuel tank, engine cowl, and split-seats. The new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will be available in three colours – Gloss Black, Pearl White, and Matte Blue. The Matte Blue paint option is inspired by the TVS OMC race bike.
Features
The Apache RTR 200 4V packs premium features such as an LED headlight, an LED taillight, and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster that works with TVS SmartXonnect app. The display on the new motorcycle also witnesses the addition of a gear shift arrow.
Hardware
The biggest upgrade comes to the suspension setup that now features preload-adjustable Showa front forks. The suspension setup at the back features a preload-adjustable mono-shock. The adjustable setup enables the rider to tune the suspension setup as per his/her preference. The braking duties continue to be performed by a 270mm disc at the front and a 240mm rotor at the back while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS.
Engine
The motorcycle continues to use a 197.75cc, single-cylinder, four-valve, oil-cooled engine, although the new model benefits from three riding modes – Sport, Urban, and Rain. In Sport mode, the motor delivers 20.5bhp at 9,000rpm and 17.25Nm at 7,250rpm. The power and torque output numbers are limited to 17.08bhp at 7,800rpm and 16.51Nm at 5,750rpm in the Urban and the Rain modes. The top-speed in Sport mode is rated at 127kmph while it is limited to 105kmph in Urban and Rain modes.
Price
The new, feature-packed TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is priced at Rs 1,31,050 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
