- Spy images reveal an updated design for the taillight
- Gets tyre-hugger-mounted numberplate
- India launch details unavailable yet
The upcoming new TVS Apache RTR 310, which could reportedly be called the RTX 310, has been spotted during road tests. Until we get an official confirmation, we will call this motorcycle the Apache RTR 310.
The latest images capture the rear design of this motorcycle, revealing a twin-pod design for the taillight along with a rear-tyre hugger-mounted numberplate and turn indicators. The taillight design is noticeably different from the unit on the Apache RR310.
Further, the photographs also give a glimpse of the Apache RR310-style exhaust. Then, the pictures capture the upright ergonomics of the motorcycle and the instrument cluster on this upcoming product. While the instrument cluster is not clearly visible, it appears to be noticeably different from the vertically-mounted unit on the Apache RR310.
Lastly, the final picture gives a glimpse of the headlight setup, which appears to be a twin-pod unit. Notably, the Apache RR310 has not received a major styling upgrade since its debut, and thus, we may see these revised styling elements on the fully-faired model as well.
The design of the recently spied test mule looks much different from the previously spied motorcycle's. Unlike the previously spotted vehicle, this unit was equipped with production-spec hardware, including the Apache RR310-style exhaust canister. The feature list, too, should be similar to the Apache RR310. Thus, the naked roadster, too, should retain full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display, riding modes, and a dual-channel ABS.
The details about the mechanical specifications are not available yet. However, we expect the Apache RTR 310 to use the same engine as the RR310. Thus, we expect to see the same 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the RTR 310. This motor is tuned to deliver 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm on the fully-faired model. The roadster is likely to carry similar output figures.
The launch details for the new TVS Apache RTR 310 are not available yet. As for the pricing, the Apache RTR 310 will most likely be positioned below its fully faired sibling, which costs about Rs. 2.65 lakh. Thus, we can expect the roadster-segment motorcycle to be priced at around Rs. 2.50 lakh.
