The next-generation TVS Jupiter has been completely revamped with an all-new design, revised chassis and a bigger engine. The family scooter has been launched in India at Rs. 73,700 (ex-showroom). Let’s take a look at the top highlights of the new TVS Jupiter.
New Design
The Jupiter has been around for over a decade, and with this new-generation model, TVS has completely overhauled its design. Every panel is new and nothing has been carried over from the older model. The design highlight is the infinity LED light bar on the front apron with integrated turn indicators. The scooter looks contemporary from the sides, while the black chrome elements accentuate its styling. It gets a similar jewel-type treatment for the LED taillight assembly.
More Features
The 2024 TVS Jupiter comes equipped with full-LED lighting, Follow Me Home headlamp, auto turn indicator reset, and emergency brake warning. It also gets a fully-coloured instrument cluster that displays a plethora of information. It also gets Bluetooth connectivity that enables features such as turn-by-turn navigation, call and text alerts, find my vehicle, and voice assist.
The new Jupiter is also quite practical as it gets a front storage box with a USB charging port and large under-seat storage that accommodates two basic full-face helmets. It also gets an external, front-mounted fuel-filling cap.
New Chassis
Under the bodywork, the 2024 Jupiter uses an all-new chassis, which is similar to the one on the Jupiter 125. This new frame has allowed TVS to place the fuel tank under the floorboard and the fuel lid at the front below the handlebar. This chassis could also allow TVS to introduce an electric version of the Jupiter in future. With a few tweaks, the fuel tank could make way for the battery pack.
Bigger Engine
Powering the 2024 TVS Jupiter 110 is a new and bigger 113.5cc, single-cylinder engine that pumps out 8bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 9.2Nm. However, with the new iGO assist feature, the motor produces a peak torque of 9.8Nm, which helps with quicker acceleration while performing overtakes in the city.
Variants and Colours
The new Jupiter is available in four variants – Drum, Drum Alloy, Drum SXC, and Disc SXC. The lower two variants come devoid of features such as iGO Assist, SmartXonnect, and the infinity light bar. The scooter is available in six colours – Dawn Blue Matte, Galactic Copper Matte, Starlight Blue Gloss, Lunar White Gloss, Titanium Grey Matte, and Meteor Red Gloss.
While the base Drum variant is priced at Rs. 73,700, the Drum Alloy variant costs Rs. 79,200. The Drum SXC variant is priced at Rs. 83,250, while the top-spec Disc SXC is pegged at Rs. 87,250. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
