TVS Motor Company recently introduced the new Race XP variant of the Ntorq 125 in India. Although it’s already one of the most desirable scooters in its segment, the Race XP edition brings more goodies to the table. While the new decals make it look much swankier, the updates go beyond just a fresh sticker job. Let’s shed light on these revisions in this image gallery.
Firstly, the Race XP comes wearing a racy paint scheme which is a combination of red, white and black. It is also adorned with edgy graphics on the front apron and side panels which enhance its visual appeal further.
While the Ntorq 125 already had Bluetooth connectivity, TVS’s exclusive SmartXonnect system and it’s LCD dash have been updated for the Race XP. Moreover, it also offers voice assistance for operating 15 different functions like changing modes and launching navigation system.
Gone are those days when only high-end bikes would get riding modes. It’s interesting to see that the Ntorq 125 Race XP incorporates two riding modes - Street and Race which alter the throttle response and fuelling for varying feel.
That’s not all, TVS has also tuned the Race XP’s 125cc, single-cylinder engine to produce marginally more power and torque than other iterations. So it churns out 10bhp and 10.8Nm as against 9.25bhp and 10.5Nm from other trims.
In terms of cycle parts, the Race XP has been left untouched. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends that are suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking is handled by a disc-drum combination while a more affordable drum variant is also available.
TVS has priced the Ntorq 125 Race XP at Rs 83,275 (ex-showroom) which makes it around Rs 5,000 more expensive than the Race variant.
