- Gets a more advanced SmartXonnect display
- Sports new Neon Green paint scheme with updated graphics
- Gets restyled alloy wheels that are lighter
After teasing the new Ntorq 125 XT recently, TVS Motor Company has finally launched the new version of the 125cc scooter in India. The prices of the Ntorq 125 XT start at Rs 1.03 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most expensive variant of the scooter yet. For the extra premium, it brings a bunch of additional goodies to the table.
Starting with visual updates, the new XT trim sports a new Neon Green paint scheme which looks attention-grabbing with the updated graphics. Moreover, the alloy wheels are different from other variants. These units don’t just look more premium with slimmer spokes, TVS says, they are also lighter and contribute to better performance and savings in fuel.
Now, the biggest change comes in the form of an updated instrument cluster. This new split-type display is a combination of a TFT screen and an LCD. While the Bluetooth-enabled SmartXonnect tech was already available, it is now accompanied by SmartXtalk and SmartXtrack functions. Here, the former is an advanced version of voice assistance (already available in Race XP), and the latter allows keeping track of notifications on the weather, news, cricket, social media, etc. TVS has also equipped the Ntorq 125 XT with its IntelliGO start-stop technology which is essentially a silent-start system.
The Ntorq 125 XT remains unchanged in all other areas. It continues to be powered by a 124.8cc, three-valve, air-cooled engine that churns out 9.25bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.5Nm at 5,500rpm. It rides on 12-inch wheels suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking is handled by a disc at the front and a drum at the rear. One can also opt for the most affordable dual drum brake variant.
