- New TVS Star City Plus teased
- Likely to be offered as a new colour option or a special edition model
TVS Motor Company has teased what looks like the new version of its commuter offering, the Star City Plus. The teaser image shows nothing more than the headlamp section and silhouette of the fuel tank and seat. It is likely to be officially launched soon.
While the Star City Plus was already an attractive proposition amongst its rivals, it still received a couple of updates during the BS6 transition last year. Hence, the upcoming model is unlikely to get any major change. It will mostly be a new colour option or a special edition model with fancier decals. We might also see an addition of a feature or two.
The TVS Star City Plus boasts compact and sleek bodywork. This is complemented by modern features like an LED headlamp, a USB charging port, a semi-digital console, and five-step adjustable rear shock absorbers. Powering the bike is a 109cc, fuel-injected motor capable of producing 8bhp at 7,350rpm and 8.7Nm at 4,500rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a four-speed gearbox.
TVS retails the Star City Plus in monotone and dual-tone colour variants, both priced at Rs 65,865 (ex-showroom). The upcoming model might demand a slight premium over this pricing.
