Honda is set to update its flagship ADV, the Africa Twin very soon. Some of the recently leaked reports suggest that the Japanese two-wheeler brand will introduce several tweaks for the bike in the 2024 iteration.
For 2024, the Africa Twin’s engine, chassis, and software will be tweaked. The torque figures will be bumped up to 112Nm from the previous 105Nm. Moreover, the peak torque will arrive much earlier at 5,000rpm instead of 6,250rpm. That said, the power remains unchanged at 102bhp.
Then, the Africa Twin will ride on a new 19-inch front wheel as opposed to the current 21-inch unit. Its 18-inch rear wheel remains unchanged. These will be wrapped in 110/80 front and 150/70 rear tyres. With the new updates, the Africa Twin will weigh about 3kg more than its current model. Last but not least, Honda could also add features such as front and rear radar, cameras and adaptive cruise control.
Currently, the Honda Africa Twin sits at one of the top spots in the large-size ADV market. It retails at Rs. 16,01,500 for the manual model and Rs. 17,55,500 for the DCT trim.
