Piaggio India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the new 75th Edition of the Vespa range. This new scooter, which commemorates the 75th anniversary of the two-wheeler brand, will be available with two engine options – 125cc and 150cc. The 75th Edition is based on the VXL series. The 125cc variant of the scooter makes 9.78bhp of power and 9.60Nm of peak torque. The 150cc version, on the other hand, produces 10.32bhp of power and 10.60Nm of maximum torque.
While the underpinnings are similar to the standard VXL range, the 75th Edition benefits from cosmetic upgrades in the form of a new paint theme and decals. The Vespa 75th Edition uses a monocoque full steel body with glossy metallic Giallo 75th (original metallic yellow).
This edition also features the number '75' on the side panels and the front fender and a chrome 75th logo on the glove box shield.
The special equipment on the scooter includes a round bag in Nobuk leather that is placed on the retractable rack at the rear and enhances the retro styling of the scooter.
The 75th Edition also gets soft Nobuk leather-feel dark smoke grey seats, machined alloy wheels in dust grey colour, and a clear front windshield visor.
The feature list on the scooter also includes an LED headlight with centre integrated DRL and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The safety net on the 150cc version includes an anti-lock braking system while the 125cc model gets combi braking system.
The 125cc variant of the scooter has been priced at Rs 1,25,996 while the 150cc model is available at Rs 1,39,090 (both ex-showroom, Pune).
