Yamaha has unveiled the 2020 Bolt in international markets. It is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon. Nevertheless, we bring to you details of the interesting Yamaha Bolt through this image gallery.
The Yamaha Bolt is a cruiser motorcycle built on a double-cradle frame. It gets a tear drop-shaped fuel tank with a capacity of 13-litres and minimal bodywork that includes a cropped rear fender and small side panels. The motorcycle offers a typical cruiser riding position with its stretched back handlebars and forward-set footpegs.
Yamaha is offering the Bolt in two variants- standard and R which can be differentiated visually. While the standard model comes with spoke wheels and chrome bezel on the headlamp and tail lamp, the R gets machine-cut alloys and blacked-out components.
The motorcycle is available in three colours- black for the standard model, dark blue for the R variant, and a combination of white with red graphics on the special Sport Heritage edition.
The Yamaha Bolt is equipped with an LED tail lamp and LED DRL for the headlamp. The turn signals, meanwhile, have been conventionally lit. Furthermore, the motorcycle offers a single-pod instrument cluster that incorporates a small LCD and various tell-tale lights.
It rides on a large 19-inch front wheel and 16-inch rear wheel (all variants. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks upfront and twin shocks at the rear while braking is done by large 298mm petal discs at both ends. And apart from dual-channel ABS, the Bolt does not feature any electronic aids.
Powering the Yamaha Bolt is a 942cc, V-twin motor that is air-cooled and fuel-injected. This engine is capable of churning out 53bhp of power at 5500rpm and 80Nm of torque at 3000rpm. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
