- New FZ-S with hybrid tech unveiled
- Provides a minor bump in power
- Launch likely during the festive season
Yamaha has finally unveiled the FZ-S with its hybrid technology at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The details of this bike were leaked a few days ago during a dealer conference.
Through the new Smart Motor Generator, Yamaha is looking to churn out more performance on this bike. The SMG charges the battery and works with the engine to deliver a mild torque boost for quicker acceleration. This feature is quite useful in city traffic conditions. Through this technology, the bike also gets a silent engine starting action and an idling engine start-stop function.
The new FZ-S also features a new TFT screen which has Bluetooth connectivity. There's also navigation and it shows various ride data.
Interestingly, Yamaha hasn't announced the price of this bike which means the current model will be on sale for a few more months. The Japanese manufacturer could look at introducing the new FZ-S during the festive season.
