Yamaha has been testing its new FZ-16 for quite a while now. Test mules of the facelifted version have been spied on a number of occasions in the past, suggesting that the company is actively testing the motorcycle before introducing it in the market sometime before this festive season.
This facelifted model, spotted on test, is the updated variant of the existing FZ-16. It looks very similar to the FZ concept that was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year. The motorcycle, as seen, benefits from a number of cosmetic changes and it is also expected to get a few mechanical upgrades.
Having said that, the new FZ-16 will continue to be powered by the same air-cooled 153cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 14bhp of power and 13.6Nm of torque. Although reports have suggested that Yamaha may retune the engine to offer bit more power.
The new FZ-16, in all probability, will be launched during the festive season in a bid to cash in on more sales. Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the upcoming new FZ-16.
