- New Yamaha FZ-X launched in India at Rs 1,16,800
- Available in three colours
- Gets Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster
Yamaha Motors has announced the launch of the new FZ-X in the Indian market. The new model joins the FZ series in the company’s Indian portfolio and the prices for the motorcycle start from Rs 1,16,800 onwards. The Bluetooth-enabled version is available for Rs 1,19,800. Also, the Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster works with Y-connect app.
The new Yamaha FZ-X shares its engine with the FZ FI series. The 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine produces 12.2bhp of power at 7,250rpm and 13.6Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
The hardware, too, is similar to the existing FZ series, and the new FZ-X uses telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the suspension tasks. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net includes a single-channel ABS.
In terms of design, the new Yamaha FZ-X draws styling cues from the XSR range. The motorcycle features a round LED headlamp at the front, aluminium-finished brackets, a tall-set handlebar, a USB charger, and a boxy fuel tank. The new FZ-X is available in three colours – Matt Copper, Metallic Blue, and Matte Black.
