The all-new Yamaha FZ-X has started arriving at the dealerships. Customers can now book the new Yamaha FZ-X by paying a token amount of Rs 5,000. As per sources, the neo-classic motorcycle might take 20-30 days to be delivered post-booking. However, the delivery schedules might vary depending on the location. The company had also announced to offer a free G-Shock wristwatch for the first two hundred FZ-X customers. The FZ-X is available in two variants with and without Bluetooth connectivity. The FZ-X without Bluetooth is priced at Rs 1,16,800. Meanwhile, the FZ-X with Bluetooth variant is priced at Rs 1,19,800. Above mentioned prices are ex-showroom (Gurgaon).
The Yamaha FZ-X gets a neo-retro design. It comes equipped with a circular headlamp, underbelly pan, FZ-X badge on its fuel tank, a single-piece seat, tyre hugger, a rectangularish taillight and a rear grab handle. It further gets features like an LED headlamp, daytime running LED light, LED taillight, negative LCD instrument cluster, power socket and side stand engine cut off. The FZ-X Bluetooth variant also comes with a communication control unit that is compatible with the Y-Connect app. This app helps the rider to check various vehicle information. The FZ-X is available in three colour options: Metallic Blue, Matt Copper and Matt Black.
Powering the neo-retro motorcycle is the same 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that does duty on the FZ FI and churns out 12.23bhp at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm at 5,500rpm. This power is transmitted using a five-speed gearbox. The ride here is taken care of by telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Meanwhile, for braking, it employs a disc on both ends assisted by a single-channel ABS.
