Yamaha has launched the commemorative World GP 60th Anniversary edition of the YZF R15 V4 in India. This version is adorned with a special livery featuring Yamaha’s white and red ‘speed block’ colour scheme. There are additional cosmetic elements too such as golden alloy wheels, the brand’s factory race bike tuning fork emblem, black levers and, special badging on the fuel tank. Notably, only the M variant of the R15 has received this special visual treatment.
As for the price, Yamaha has pegged the new 60th Anniversary edition of the R15 V4 at Rs 1,88,300. As for the most affordable variant of the motorcycle, it sets you back by Rs 1,76,300 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Yamaha YZ R15 V4 special edition model remains mechanically the same as other variants. It is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch and a quick shifter for clutch-less upshifts. It also gets a traction control system, a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, along with Track and Street modes.
