Yamaha has released another teaser video of its upcoming R6. And this was done at a time, when the entire world was expecting to see this new middleweight super sport at the 2016 Intermot, Germany.
The teaser video which lasted for about 36 seconds revealed a quite few details of the bike. To start with the upcoming R6 will look very similar to its big brother – the YZF-R1. In the teaser video, Yamaha smartly placed the bike in such a way that we could just see the silhouette of it. And that’s more than enough to make this guess.
It looks like the tail section has been borrowed from the R1. The front too looks very similar to its litre-class sibling. The front cowl, placement of the headlamps (LED), rear view mirror and windscreen – all these have been inspired from the R1. These details also match the patent image of the R6 that was leaked a couple of months ago.
This next generation R6 is expected to be powered by an updated inline-four cylinder. But it’s still unclear about its performance figures. The Japanese maker will unveil their new R6 on October 13. And just like you, we’re also quite excited about this motorcycle. Stay tuned as we bring you more details on the bike.
