- Yamaha launches BS6-complaint Ray ZR 125 and Street Rally 125
- Prices start at Rs 66,730 and go up to Rs 70,730
- Will compete against the Hero Maestro Edge 125 Fi
After unveiling the new Ray ZR 125 and Street Rally 125 in December 2019, Yamaha has now officially launched the scooters in India. The company has priced the Ray ZR 125 at Rs 66,730 (drum brake) and Rs 69,730 (disc brake) while the Street Rally 125 costs Rs 70,730 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Ray ZR 125 is the successor of the 110cc version of the scooter while the Street Rally is the fancier version of the same. Both sport a distinctive styling with a visor-mounted T-shaped LED DRL, faux air intakes flanking the headlamp and an angular and sleek tail lamp. For enhanced appeal, the Street Rally version gets bold paint scheme, knuckle guards and tyres with rugged pattern.
Powering the scooters is a 125cc motor with Yamaha’s Blue Core technology which produces 8bhp and 9.7Nm. While it is more powerful than the earlier 110cc engine, the company claims it is more fuel efficient as well. Coming to the cycle parts, both scooters ride on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel which are suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking is handled by disc brake up front and drum brake at the rear assisted by combined braking system.
The Yamaha Ray ZR 125 and Street Rally 125 competes against the Honda Grazia 125 and Hero Maestro Edge 125 Fi.
