- New Tenere 700 unveiled
- Gets revised 700cc engine
- Equipped with a new digital rally book cluster
Yamaha has taken the wraps off the 2025 version of the famous adventure bike – the Tenere 700. For the New Year, the company has updated its variant lineup by providing better styling and more features.
The overall styling upgrades have been minor, but this is the first big styling change since the bike debuted in 2019. The bodywork gets slight revisions along with the LED lights. The 16-litre fuel tank has been moved a bit forward to reduce the top-heaviness and create more balance while riding. The seat design has been updated too.
The Japanese firm hasn't touched the bike's double-cradle frame, but a few changes have been made to the silencer bracket and luggage mounts. The footpegs are a bit wider than before. The Tenere 700 gets a new suspension system. The standard variant is equipped with a pair of fully adjustable upside-down 43mm forks with 210mm of travel and at the back, there's 200mm travel which gets a remote adjuster.
The famous 698cc parallel-twin motor has been updated and now gets ride by wire throttle. As a result, the bike gets two riding modes – Sport and Explorer. To improve the overall torque curve, a shorter air intake duct has been used. The six-speed gearbox gets new internals and the clutch cover has been redesigned to reduce the biker’s leg contact.
In the features department, the new Tenere gets a new 6.3-inch TFT screen that looks like a digital rally book. USB-C charging port is standard and the switchgear is brand new too.
Yamaha hasn’t revealed the price of the new Tenere 700, but expect it to get a significant bump due to the addition of new features. The bookings in Europe are likely to commence from early next year.
