- New XSR900 under development
- Will get new chassis, swingarm
- Likely to get quickshifter
Yamaha is working on a brand new XSR900 which is likely to be launched sometime next year. This modern-retro motorcycle will get upgrades like the new MT-09.
This new XSR900 will inherit the same name chassis that is seen on the MT-09. In fact, the swingarm and cast alloy subframe are likely to be used on the XSR900. So expect the overall weight to also come down in this new Yamaha.
In terms of design, the Japanese brand is bound to give it a big upgrade. So expect new body panels, new paint schemes and also new instrument cluster. And when it comes to features, the new XSR900 is likely to get MT-09’s quickshifter.
The Euro-5 emission regulation will kick in a few days. So we are expecting Yamaha to bring this retro bike in the early months of 2021.
