Yamaha recently created quite a buzz amongst Indian motorcyclists by launching the heavily updated YZF R15 V4 in India. And this is not just a sticker job but a comprehensive overhaul. This was compelling enough for us to take the new R15 V4 out for a short spin and tell you our first impressions of the motorcycle. In the video attached below, we tell you five things that we liked about it and two things that we didn’t.
The 155cc, liquid-cooled, VVA-equipped motor of the R15 continues to be majorly the same and that’s the most admirable aspect about the bike for us. Another likeable thing about this particular unit is the black and silver paint scheme which looks absolutely stunning. However, there are a few other things too which make it an enticing package and they have been mentioned in the video.
As for the gripes we have with the R15, its aggressive riding position continues to be uncomfortable after a point, although it has been tweaked marginally. But it works just fine when you wish to go all gung-ho on your favourite switchbacks or the race track. All in all, Yamaha has impressed us once again with the latest iteration of its small-size supersport – the YZF R15 V4. Do watch the video to know exactly how it fared during the short stint we got with it.
