The new Yezdi Adventure has been launched in India at Rs 2.10 lakh and goes up to Rs 2.20 lakh, ex-showroom, based on the colours. This makes the new Yezdi Adventure about Rs 6,000 cheaper than the outgoing model.
The ADV has received a few updates to bring it to par with the competition like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Although, in terms of pricing it is in the vicinity of bikes like the Royal Enfield Scram 411 and the Suzuki V-Strom SX.
In terms of design and appearance, there are few yet notable changes. It gets new colours and graphics on the fuel tank. One of them is the Grey/Black, dual-tone colour you see here. It is called Wolf Grey and has a white line that divides the two colours.
The tank rails are new and smaller than the ones on the current Yezdi Adventure. It looks like a much neater design and we like the plastic insert that has the ‘ESTD 69’ sticker, showing the year the company was established. More importantly, these rails are lighter at 5kgs. That said, the weight of the new Yezdi Adventure is the same as the outgoing bike.
Besides cosmetic changes, there are minor mechanical changes as well. The bike is powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 29.68bhp and 29.84Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Yezdi calls it the Alpha 2 engine and says that it has better durability and refinement than the outgoing bike.
However, a major difference is in the new exhaust pipe as well as routing. Unlike the previous bike where the exhaust pipe goes along the side of the engine, the new exhaust pipe header moves from under the engine to the rear portion of the exhaust. As a consequence, the coolant reservoir has also been shifted from the area behind the sump guard to behind the airbox.
There are no changes to the suspension, wheels and tyres, however, the sump guard is all new and more comprehensive in its coverage of the engine.
The new Yezdi Adventure is available in the following colours- Tornado Black, Magnite Maroon, Wolf Grey and Glacier White.
