- Spotted recently at a dealer meet
- Likely to come with massive updates
- Seen equipped with a single-sided exhaust, a new instrument console and more
Yezdi Motorcycles seems to be gearing up for its next launch and it is likely to be an updated version of the Scrambler. The bike was recently showcased at a dealer meet and could be launched around July this year.
From what we can see here, there seem to be notable changes in design and features. It retains the retro styling but gets a tweaked fuel tank and a brand-new paint scheme of orange with blue stripes. Even the single-piece seat is wrapped in a plain cover, but there are no grab rails per se. Moreover, there is no tail light on the bike shown here. Even the exhaust here is a single-sided unit unlike what we see on the current Yezdi Scrambler which gets one on each side.
While the engine details are yet to be revealed, we think it will borrow the same 334cc, single-cylinder motor. For reference, the engine makes 28.7bhp and 28.2Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. Another change that we have noticed on the upcoming Yezdi bike is a dual-pod analogue console. The left side of the handlebar also has a charging setup mounted on it.
Its hardware comprises telescopic front forks with gaiters and a monoshock instead of dual rear springs. The brakes include a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS. It even gets alloy wheels shoed with road-biased Pirelli tyres instead of spoke wheels with off-road tyres. The changes mentioned above seem to make the bike more road-oriented. This could be a result of the observation that the majority of the buyers of these bikes ride them more on the road rather than off-road.
However, there are a few more bikes in the background and one of them resembles the current Scrambler but gets a new exhaust setup.
As of now, the Yezdi Scrambler is priced at Rs. 2,09,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). We expect the updated model to cost marginally more.
