The newly launched Hero Super Splendor Xtec has started reaching dealerships in the country. The Xtec badge brings Bluetooth connectivity to the Super Splendor and is available in two variants – Drum and Disc.
The Bluetooth module brings additional features such as missed call alerts, SMS alerts, incoming call alerts, and a phone battery level display to the motorcycle. Further, this display shows real-time fuel economy on the screen. However, unlike some of the premium motorcycles from Hero MotoCorp, this motorcycle does get the turn-by-turn navigation function. Other ride-related details available on the console include a speedometer, odometer, two trip meters, and a fuel gauge. The Super Splendor Xtec also features an LED headlight with LED DRL, a USB charging port, an idle start-stop system, a combined braking system, and a side-stand engine cut-off function.
The mechanical specifications are similar to the standard model, and the Super Splendor Xtec continues to use a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, this motor makes the same 10.7bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm. However, the new version comes with OBD2-A compliance.
The new Super Splendor Xtec is available in three paint options – Gloss Black, Candy Blazing Red, and Matte Axis Grey. The base version of the motorcycle is priced at Rs 83,368, while the disc brake version is available at Rs 87,268 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
