- Features new styling and off-road-focused hardware
- Will be powered by the same 399cc motor that powers the new 390 Duke
- Likely to be launched in India in early 2025
The next generation KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted testing in production guise ahead of its official debut. For 2025, the new 390 Adventure seems to have taken a much more off-road-focused approach in favour of the road-going avatar that the current model gets.
Even when it comes to its styling, the new-generation KTM 390 Adventure features proper ADV styling with a large Dakar bike-inspired semi-fairing, high-set front fender, and a sleek tail section. The underpinnings also seem to be completely new, as the main trellis frame looks similar to the one on the new KTM 390 Duke. However, unlike the cast aluminium subframe on the new 390 Duke, the ADV gets a square-section tubular frame.
The motorcycle will be powered by the same 399cc, liquid-cooled motor as the new KTM 390 Duke. So, we can expect similar power figures of 45.3bhp at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine will come paired with a six-speed gearbox.
In terms of cycle parts, it seems like the new-generation KTM 390 Adventure seems to have taken a more serious approach than the existing 390 Adventure. While the current model uses a 19-inch front wheel, the new 390 Adventure will likely use a 21-inch wheel up front. In typical ADV fashion, KTM has traded the alloy wheels in favour of off-road focused wire-spoke wheels. The suspension hardware is also expected to offer more wheel travel than the existing model.
The next-generation 390 Adventure is expected to make its global debut in Europe towards the end of 2024, and we can expect an official unveil at EICMA 2024. An Indian launch is likely to take place in early 2025. When launched, the new KTM 390 Adventure will be the flagship offering from the Austrian bike maker in India.
