- Spy images reveal revised styling
- Likely to get a relatively higher displacement
- Launch likely in 2025
A test mule of the next-generation KTM RC 390 has been spied overseas, revealing the finer details of this upcoming product. As seen in the spy picture, the motorcycle will boast a single-pod headlight, sleek LED turn indicators, full-fairing, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, a muscular fuel tank, split seats, and five-spoke alloy wheels.
Notably, the next-generation model, similar to the updated 390 Duke, will use a new frame and sub-frame setup. Then, it will come equipped with WP-sourced upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, and lightweight disc brakes on both wheels. These brakes are similar to the units that are seen on the current-generation RC 390.
The mechanical specifications, too, will get updated, and the next generation will share the updated engine with the 390 Duke. The roadster is expected to get a displacement increase, and we may now see a 399cc engine on the next-generation 390 Duke. For reference, the current generation model uses a 373cc motor. The increased displacement will result in a marginal increase in the power and torque output. However, we do not expect a major difference in the numbers.
The next-generation KTM RC 390 will most likely be unveiled in late 2024, and the launch may happen in 2025.
