- Appears to have taken inspiration from the now-discontinued Karizma ZMR
- Likely to feature the 200cc motor derived from Xtreme 200R and the upcoming XPulse 200
- Expected to be launched after the introduction of the XPulse 200
A short video of a fully-faired Hero motorcycle has emerged on the internet. The spied motorcycle could likely be the next-generation Karizma.
Based on the video, the motorcycle can be seen without any disguise sporting a full-fairing that seems to take its inspiration from the now-discontinued Karizma ZMR. It features a blacked-out windscreen on top of the fairing followed by a single piece headlamp assembly likely to feature LED units. While the motorcycle didn’t have any badging on its fuel tank, it did have an ABS sticker on the front fender and a Hero badge on the side panel. The motorcycle also sported an all-digital instrument console that is identical to the upcoming XPulse motorcycle.
We expect the faired motorcycle to share its underpinnings with the Hero’s Xtreme 200R and the upcoming XPulse 200 models. Looking at the engine side cover, the motor is likely to be the same 199.6cc single-cylinder motor that does duty in the Xtreme 200R. The motor is rated to produce 18.1bhp and 17.1Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. However, in the case of this bike, expect Hero to have the motor fuel-injected, tuned differently and possibly with a six-speed gearbox considering its character. Besides that, the motorcycle featured telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking will be handled by disc brakes at both ends.
Expect Hero to introduce the next-gen Karizma after the introduction of the much-awaited XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T models that are due for launch later this month.
