Next-gen Suzuki Hayabusa rendered

- Likely to get a sharper design.

- Expected to be powered by a 1440cc engine.

- To arrive as a 2020 model by the end of this year.

The iconic Suzuki Hayabusa which is currently in its second generation is all set to get a major cosmetic and mechanical overhaul for 2020. And a Japanese magazine, have now speculatively rendered the upcoming superbike.

As per the renderings, the design of the new Hayabusa will  be an evolution of the current  model. The new bike is likely to get sharper and more aggressive bodywork although with a few styling cues of the current bike still lurking around. It is also likely to get a redesigned headlamp and tail lamp with LED-lighting and a stubbier exhausts that will not only save weight but add a sportier appeal.

Suzuki is likely to bump up the displacement in the new 'Busa to around 1440cc from the current model's 1340cc engine. The current model produces 194bhp and 155Nm of torque and with a bigger engine, the next-gen Hayabusa will undoubtedly put out higher power figures. We expect the bike to come equipped with an updated electronics package similar to the GSX-R1000 which includes traction control, ride modes and a six-axis IMU.

The Hayabusa was discontinued in Europe but still continues to sell in the US and India as a 2019 model. However, Suzuki is likely to unveil the new Hayabusa globally by the end of this year as a 2020 model and will aim to take on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R.
