Royal Enfield recently unveiled their new logo along with the introduction of new paint schemes across their product portfolio. Some of these new colours look brilliant on these motorcycles, but wait! There is one particular colour, the stone (matte) black colour that won’t let you sleep at night if you own a bike with that colour and yes, this is scary.
Motor Vikatan’s Facebook page has posted a disclaimer under the picture of the Thunderbird. This particular disclaimer advises owners not to polish the motorcycle as it increases gloss.It also says wash only with plain water, scratches or marks cannot be removed and then comes the major blow, ‘No warranty for this colour’.
This is something that will discourage a consumer to buy this particular colour which is available in Thunderbird 350 and the Thunderbird 500. While we appreciate the company’s small disclaimer, but manufacturing a product and then not giving a warranty to a certain important part of it is not at all fair to the customer. We checked to see whether Royal Enfield has mentioned anything regarding this on their website, but our efforts were in vain.
