- To be unveiled on 6 September, 2023
- Will feature an all-new design
- Likely to be priced around Rs. 2.50 lakh
TVS Motor Company has sent out invitations for a new launch that is scheduled to take place on 6 September, 2023. While the company has not released the name of this upcoming product, the emailer link names the Apache brand, which hints at the Apache RR310-based roadster motorcycle, the RTR310. This motorcycle was spotted on two occasions in the past via spy photographs.
As seen in the spy photographs, this upcoming motorcycle will feature a twin-pod design for the taillight along with a rear-tyre hugger-mounted numberplate and turn indicators. This design is noticeably different from that of the RR310. Since the Apache RR310 has not received any major styling upgrade since its debut, we may see these revised styling elements on the fully faired model as well. Then, the Apache RTR310 will carry upright ergonomics instead of the sporty rider’s triangle on the Apache RR310.
The mechanical specifications will remain similar to that of the fully faired model. Thus, we will see the same 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the RTR310 as well. This motor delivers a maximum output of 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm on the flagship TVS Motor Company product. The hardware, too, will be similar to the RR310, and thus the upcoming roadster will use upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, and disc brakes on both wheels.
As for the pricing, the Apache RTR310 will most likely be positioned below the Apache RR310. Thus, we expect the roadster-segment motorcycle to arrive in the Rs. 2.40 lakh and Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
