Ohlins Suspension is back in India with a new distributor. If you are wondering why this is important, it’s because Ohlins now makes aftermarket, bolt-on upgrades for quite a few India-made motorcycles. There are upgrades available for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650, the Himalayan, and for the KTM RC 390.
The new distributor – N-Gage Powerparts – is based in Chennai, but promises free delivery all across India. One can’t buy the Ohlins online just yet, but N-Gage can be contacted via email, phone, and its social channels. The number and email for the distributor are mentioned at the end of the article.
As far as pricing goes, the front fork upgrade kit for the Royal Enfield 650 Twins (FSK 145) that includes a new set of springs, spacers, preload adjustable top caps, and Ohlins’ own fork oil retails for Rs 34,000 all inclusive. The rear twin shocks for the 650 meanwhile, are priced at Rs 65,000. These are STX 36 and are adjustable for preload, rebound damping, and length.
The monoshock unit for the Royal Enfield Himalayan meanwhile is priced at Rs 80,000. Called the STX 46 Adventure, it too is adjustable for preload and rebound damping. Like the 650 Twins, there’s a fork upgrade kit available for the Himalayan as well. The FSK 144, which again comes with new springs, spacers, preload adjustable top caps, and Ohlins fork oil, retails for Rs 34,000.
