Delhi-based Okinawa Scooters has expanded its product portfolio by launching the all-new LITE in India carrying a sticker price of Rs 59,990. The new electric scooter has been marketed carrying the ‘One for all’ tagline suggesting that Okinawa has targeted the LITE at a wide spectrum of buyers in the two-wheeler EV space.
The LITE has a quirky looking design with rounded edges giving it a futuristic appeal. It features LED lighting for the headlamp, turn indicators and tail lamp. It also comes with a hazard lamp switch and is equipped with an LED speedometer. It has a couple of unique features like anti-theft battery lock mechanism and inbuilt pillion rider footrests.
The e-scooter is powered by a 250W waterproof BDLC motor that is rated to achieve a top speed of 25kmph and capable of ascending a gradient of 7 degrees. The motor is powered by a 1.25 KWH detachable lithium-ion battery that takes about 4-5 hours for a full charge and is rated to offer a range of 50-60km per charge.
For cycle parts, the LITE is suspended by telescopic forks up front and dual tube spring type hydraulic shock absorbers. Braking is handled by disc-drum arrangement. The e-scooter has a seat height of 740mm, ground clearance of 160m and a boot space capacity of 17-litres.
Okinawa is offering the LITE in two colour options of Sparkle White and Sparkle Blue. Besides that, each LITE comes with three years warranty for the motor and battery.
