Okinawa Autotech has launched its first offering for 2022 in India and it’s the OKHI-90 electric scooter. The asking price is set to Rs 1,21,866 (ex-showroom, post FAME II subsidy) and it goes further low once you avail of the state subsidy.
On the visual front, the Okinawa OKHI-90 packs a mix of conservative design approach with a dash of sportiness. It gets an LED headlight with light sensors for added convenience when the roads aren’t well lit.
The OKHI-90 is powered by a 3.8kW motor paired with a 3.6kWh removable lithium-ion battery. Okinawa claims that the OKHI-90 can clock a top speed of 85-90kmph in sports mode and 55-60kmph in eco mode. Meanwhile, the maximum claimed range is limited to 160km.
Apart from LED illumination, the OKHI-90 packs some nifty features like keyless operation, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity USB charging port, geo-fencing, secure parking, battery information, speed alerts, calls and notification alerts, as well as insurance and maintenance reminders.
It gets conventional telescopic front forks, dual rear springs and rides on 16-inch alloys. Braking hardware comprises of disc brakes at both ends. Okinawa will offer the OKHI-90 in Glossy Wine Red, Glossy Pearl White, Glossy Ash Grey, and Glossy Jewellery Blue colours.
It’ll rival the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Revolt RV400 and a few other models in the electric two-wheeler segment in India.
